The movie 'Hachiko Toy Story' is a Disney Pixar movie that has been released in United Kingdom, USA and Australia. In Japan it was released in 2011 and shortly after went on to become one of the highest-grossing movies of the year. This film about an old Japanese dog who waited every day at the train station for his owner has won numerous awards and achieved great success around the world. The story is about loyalty and devotion to a pet, even when the pet can not be there with them anymore. The main character's love for Hachi makes him stay by his side no matter what happens, even if he loses hope because of all his life circumstances changing. The movie's story is based on a true story of a dog that stayed with his old owner who had died before he could return from work. The original story was recorded by the writer Haru Matsuhashi and it is true of an Akita dog name Hachiko from Japan, whose real-life story was the inspiration of the famous Japanese fictional character. This film is about a boy named Nobuyuki who lives with his mother in Shibuya, Tokyo. Nobuyuki's father has just moved to Hokkaido to go into business with his father-in-law. He leaves Nobuyuki in the care of his family in Tokyo, which includes Hachi, Nobuyuki's pet Akita dog. Hachi waits faithfully for his master to come home every day from work. In the end, Hachi gets very sick and passes away. Nobuyuki gives Hachi a proper burial and goes to the train station where his father is waiting for him in a gesture of respect to his late pet. In India, this film was released under the name "Hachiko's Story" on 14 February 2012 in 25 theaters in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore with a total of 3000 customers at each location. The movie had been running in all these villages since early January 2012 for four weeks at a time. The film has received 3 nominations at the 29th Japan Academy Prize Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Gorō Miyauchi, Best Screenplay for Gorō Miyauchi and Best Leading Actor for Shun Oguri. The film won 6 awards at the 14th Hochi Film Award, including Newcomer of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Best Supporting Actor for Shun Oguri.To commemorate the 10th anniversary of "Hachiko" in Japan, Disney released a card game featuring some of the characters from the film on June 9, 2012.Other sources do not list it as a Disney release. The film is being broadcast on the Disney Channel in India. The trailer for the film gained over 500 million views on YouTube by April 4, 2012. In the U.S., it was released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 18, 2014, by Buena Vista Home Entertainment under its Walt Disney Classics Brand label. The Blu-ray release featured a new dubbed voice track from Shun Oguri instead of the original Japanese dialogue.
